280 Character Limit Too much. We have been given too much. The whole fun of Twitter was trying to fit two whole sentences in without compromising on grammar – this post is only at the halfway mark!
Ok, so Twitter pretty much RUINED the concept of my favourite series on my blog to date but I am going to adapt with the times and update my reviews to being less than 280 characters. That’s still really short for a review, so the basic theme still stands. Only thing is, I’ve now lost all the fun of trying to cram everything I want to say into two short sentences! Also genuinely worried about how much more rubbish Trump is going to tweet about with double the amount of characters. But, anyway, here is my latest instalment of super-snappy reviews of what’s new in my life!
Life (model’s own)
Stressful and crazy and manic – someone sent me syrupy coffee and kittens plz.
Gingerbread Lattes (£3, any self-respecting chain coffee shop)
They’re still NOWHERE near as good as Pumpkin Spice ones but I suppose they’re a good enough sugary caffeine-y substitute!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Ash Brown (£19, BeautyBay.com)
Absolutely revolutionary. Beautifully dark and defined brows in 5 minutes – everyone needs this.
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette (£37, BeautyBay.com)
The shimmery shades are a bit nothing-y but the pigmentation is amazing and they blend like butter. I need more Morphe pronto.
Beauty Bay (www.BeautyBay.com)
Incredibly fast delivery time and good service. Good range of brands too, will definitely use again! The C&C option is a god-send for anyone who works full-time!
Benefit Porefessional Primer (£26, Boots)
Dislike. Thumbs down. This is certainly overpriced for what it is and the high-street brands have much better (and cheaper). Don’t waste your money. Also silica is bad for skin, look for siliCONE primers.
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick (£17, Debenhams)
Use without lip liner at your own peril but otherwise amazing longevity and colour pay-off. That said, about the same quality as a NYX Lip Lingerie. Depends how much you like colour!
Lush Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb (£4.50, Lush)
It’s back and I love it! If ocean blue baths with golden shimmery water are your thing, you need to use this bath bomb. Also the orange-spiced star bath melts smell SO GOOD.
Body Shop Drops of Sun Liquid Face Bronzer (£12, The Body Shop)
I bought this in the sale but not sure I would purchase again. Is good as a liquid contour but is far too orange for all over bronzing. Loving all the liquid dropper beauty products atm though!
Urban Decay Naked Concealer (£19, Debenhams)
This stuff is good and it lasts a long time. Decent coverage, not much different from Kat von D Lock-It range. It is more expensive though!
And that’s it for today’s mini review update/haul! I’m honestly in two minds as to whether I’ll continue this series on thepoppyraptor as it doesn’t feel as fun now that you can basically write a whole paragraph! I feel a bit guilty that this is a short blog post too, but I’m trying to write more 500-word posts and less 2000-word ones!
Thanks for reading, have a good day 😊 P.
